Designed to fit under your tank screen, the Solar Shields designed to block sunlight to prevent algae growth. Its cleverly designed fins evenly distribute and calm the water flow into your tank, minimizing sediment resuspension and ensuring that water stays at its best.
Algae Defence – By keeping sunlight out, you reduce the chance of algae taking hold inside your tank.
Easy Pipe Configuration – The Solar Shield fits underneath the tank screen – so you still have flexibility with where you install inbound pipes (compared to a tank screen cover, which requires more careful pipe positioning).
Prevent Sediment Resuspension – The unique fins on the Solar Shield create a ‘shower head’ effect for the inbound water – softening it’s flow and reducing the chance of stirring up sediment.
